KAST's Summer of Science!
KAST proudly supports summer science camps across our region.
Please WATCH THIS SPACE and our GLOWS Facebook account for new info about Summer 2012 science camps.
In Summer 2011, we provided a summer science camp assistant to lead activities and experiments at 16 summer science camps in Nelson, Castlegar & Robson, Blueberry Creek, Trail and Rossland, inspiring young people to discover the science all around us!
From space, to chemistry, to physics and outdoor adventure, every camp is filled with fun, science-related activities and experiments; getting kids and youth interested in today's wondrous world of science and technology.
Making "elephant toothpaste", outsmarting gravity, having egg wars, testing space materials and using real scientific skills to determine which liquid is water, are just some of the cool ways that kids and youth are getting excited about science right here in the Central/West Kootenay-Boundary region.
A BIG THANK YOU to our recreation department partners in Nelson, Castelagr, Robson, Trail and Rossland, and the Blueberry Creek Community School.
