This course will provide the skills that are required to install solar domestic hot water systems and is a requirement for the CanSIA Canadian Solar Domestic Hot Water System Installer Certification program.

Please note, you do not have to be an experienced installer or a licensed plumber to participate in this workshop. However, in order to become a CanSIA SDHW Installer you will require installation experience. For inexperienced installers wishing to take this course you are permitted to fulfill the experience requirements at a later time. The exam (optional) that follows the workshop is eligible for the Canadian SDHW Installer System Certification requirements. However, if you intend to take the exam be sure to register for the exam.

“The SolarBC (www.solarbc.ca) incentive requires that registered contractors for the SolarBC Residential Project must have at least one fully CanSIA certified employee.  A certified installer must be present at all installations and must sign the SolarBC Installation Agreement with the customer on completion of the work.”

Lunch and breaks will be provided in the workshop cost. Please note that seating is limited and preference will be given to CanSIA members.
